Gmail offers the search feature which is similar to Google search. Gmail search does not act equal to Google search but it is similar.
If you want to find any emails from a specific sender you need to type in the search box from:Sender�s Name
for example: To find all the emails from David, type From:David
You can also type the email address of the sender as From:sender@sender.com
This search will display all the emails from the specific sender
