Gmail Tips and Tricks – Gmail search, Search within specific label

Gmail offers a great search feature similar to Google search which is very easy to use.

If you are looking for messages from specific Label, do the search as shown below.

If you are looking for emails from David in label Family, type Label:Family From:David

This Gmail search will bring the emails from David and which is inside the Label Family

Do not forget to add the space between the first criteria and the second one.

You can use Gmail label search to search messages sent to a specific address

You can also search for emails with the specific word and only in a label as shown below

Gmail search Labels 2 This Gmail Search brings the emails with the word meeting and which is inside� the label Family

You can also narrow your search results by adding more operators to this Gmail search type.

If you want to find the emails inside label Family and with the subject meeting, type Label:Family Subject:Meeting

Gmail search Labels 3 If you want to exclude emails with the specific word and which is inside a Label, Type Label:Family Subject:Meeting -November

If you are not comfortable with operators like this, you can choose the advanced search option and type the search that you want to do.
