Skype Unlimited Calls to US and Canada

images Many Skype Users know that they can make any number of calls in a day with the very low fee of $12 for 3 months. It was such a good plan and many Indian companies and international people have opted for this option to do business with US and Canadian companies.

Recently Skype has put a limitation for this. So the unlimited had changed to limited calling now, but again they market the service saying unlimited calling.

The saturation point is 50 calls a day or maximum of 6 hours per day which cannot be called as unlimited. Now they say it is a fair usage policy.

Here is what their website says:

Fair Usage Policy

Calls to phones and mobiles and Skype To Go* calls are included in your subscription subject to a fair usage limit of 10,000 minutes per user per month, with a maximum of 6 hours per day. Also, no more than 50 different numbers in total can be called per day. If your subscription includes more than one country, then this is the total amount of minutes allowed per month on your account, and is not a separate limit for each country.

When Skye wanted the market it gave so many things for low cost, now they are changing everything.

Still, Skype is cost effective than any other SIP services.

Skype 4.0 New interface

Skype has changed to a new interface which might be tough for some people to understand quickly. Here, I will explain you the similarity and how to easily get use to the new interface.

You might get something like the below image in middle of your screen. Skype used to get launched on the right side of the window. Now you will have to move it to the right side. As I have mentioned in the below image, click on the little icon on the top which will split the display window and the regular contact window separate. Then move Skype to your right side. You will have to do this only once and Skype remembers this setting and will give you this look always.

You can add a special note to your viewers including smiley’s and any URL. If you have a long list of contacts then search in the search contact box.
